Middle name for James

We love James as it's a classic, traditional, can be shortened with nicknames etc.

We'd like a bit of an interesting middle name - but nothing too out there, as we feel as though two traditional names e.g. James Henry might be a bit too meh?

Has anyone got any nice traditional (but slightly unusual) names they can suggest? Our last name is 3 syllables so ideally nothing too long!

Marcus sprung to mind. Not sure why.

If you like fairly traditional, how about William, Alexander, Joseph, Arthur?

I think James Henry is lovely.
‘I like middle names to mean something, do you not have any family names to use ?

Yes we love a name with meaning - James is a family name, and DS1's first and middle names are both family names too. We don't have any obvious boys names that we can use which we have a connection to and which we like/work. The only options we've come up with so far are Adam (family connection) and Aubrey (quite unusual and also happens to be the name of a family friend). Thanks for your responses so far!

I know many will probably smirk but Dean.

I know James Dean 😁

But I think it sounds lovely.
