Following on from another thread where a poster is the same age as myself but didn’t know anyone called Phoebe (yet I know of loads my age)

I thought it would be interesting to see what the most popular names in your year groups/friends were, depending on peoples locations.

So for example: I was born in the mid 90’s, South London and I grew up with loads of:

Sophia
Grace
Phoebe
Molly
Lily

Jack
Tom
Joe
Sam
Max

DysonBison · 16/03/2023 11:08

Born in The North in the mid-70s:

Girls were Sarah, Andrea, Rachel, Amanda, Claire, Caroline. (Middle names Anne, Jane, Louise)

Boys were David, Jonathan, Simon, Stephen, James, Andrew.

Pretty much exclusively.

Also born in the North, mid 70s

Echo this - would add Nicola, Dawn, Lisa and Joanne to the girls first names and Marie to the middle names

Boys there were also a fair few Pauls, also some Darrens, Craigs, Garys, and the occasional Dale
