My sons name. Loved it when we chose it, before he was born, and love it just as much now. He is 21.

What is it?

Phoebo · 20/03/2023 05:57

Soren and Shiloh

Both vetoed and disliked by most people I mentioned them to!

Alistair Peregrine Larkspur XXXX

Artistic, manly and floral!
No I didn't use it.
Hope someone does have a surname to do it justice.

A lot of love for James. It's ok, and I Jamie. I also find the S at the end clumsy for using the possessive. "That's James' toy" etc.

I like Malachy, Callum and Thomas (admittedly same s ending issue as James but I just prefer the name so can overlook it. Also love Tommy and Tom).

The name I'd have loved to use is Ravi (I am white british) I just love it, it means the sun (as in the sunshine of my life) and every Ravi I have ever known has been an absolutely lovely man. But I think it would have been cultural appropriation.

Dyslexicwonder · 11/03/2023 06:02

I like names where you can have a variety of shortenings so:
Robert - can be Rob, Bob, Robbie, Bert or Bertie
William- can be, Will, Bill or Billy as well as Wills
Theodore- can be Theo, Ted or Teddy

For girls I love
Elizabeth- can be Liz, Lizzie Beth, Bessie or Eliza
Charlotte- can be Lottie, Charlie
Isabella- can be Izzy, Bella or Belle
