I think we have finally found a name for baby boy No.2, opinions on Miles please? Brother is Theo, do you think Theo and Miles go well together?

Thank you x

Miles Davies and Thelonius Monk (good connotations!)

Vodababy · 09/03/2023 21:04

Great name but prefer Myles

Pearfacebananapoop · 09/03/2023 20:55

Great name. Miles not Myles.

jays · 09/03/2023 20:46

Lovely name and it’s a brilliant combo!

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 09/03/2023 20:45

I think he’ll go far op 😀

VickerishAllsort · 09/03/2023 20:45

Well done!
Isn't it wonderful when you find exactly what you're looking for?

Beaverbridge · 09/03/2023 20:44

Lovely names, both of them.

FatCatt · 09/03/2023 20:41

Lovely!! It’s my rat’s name so I’m biased

Theo is a nice name but Miles to me is very fuddy-duddy. It's a name for a middle aged posh bloke rather than a little boy. I'd say Finn, Noah, Caleb are more the sort of names that go with Theo.

I love Theo, but really dislike two of those names!

Miles is a good fit.

*Dc2’s first name, that is!

My second boy has Miles as a middle name, I am now pregnant with a 3rd boy and I'm so upset I already used it as a middle name as I'd love to call this one Miles!

Don’t let that stop you, it didn’t stop us! We have two middle names per child, and used one of dc1’s for dc2! Middle names are barely mentioned irl, so it isn’t a big deal, really. There’s plenty of historical precedent for re-using names within families!

You can still call him Miles. Middle names are rarely known to outsiders. I have 2 nephews, brothers, who have the same middle name, no one has ever mentioned it as being strange.,
Use the name you love, I doubt anyone would even give it a thought.

LadyWithLapdog · 09/03/2023 19:19

They go nicely together.

LightDrizzle · 09/03/2023 19:15

Miles is definitely better, it's an anagram of Smile.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 09/03/2023 18:41

No, not Myles. Miles so much better.

Bunnyishotandcross · 09/03/2023 18:41

Prefer Myles
