Twins- Aoife and _________

We don't know what we're having!

DH is Irish and would really like an Irish name. Aoife is my standout favourite, but then some of my other likes (Charlotte, Helen, Rose) don't match.

I like old fashioned Irish uncle names (James, Joseph, Vincent), but not sure if they match Aoife... Other boys' contenders are Aidan, Conn and Eoghan.

Aoife and Maeve is lovely. I’m Irish and my partner is English. We have ten month old twins and I only ‘won’ on one name so our names are completely different but they really work together so don’t worry about people saying some names are too different to put together!

Rian is another nice boy’s name and I’m not sure it’s been mentioned yet.

Aoife and Orlaith sounds nice too!

Definitely Meabh (Meave). Also Roisin and Saebh (rhymes with 5). For a boy I like Rory, Sean, Ronan, Oisin, Odhran and Fiona. Also for a girl Brigid is having a renaissance.

Aoife and Maeve are the ones. I love them.

Boys.... Ciaran and Cormac I like.

Gorgeous 😍

Why do they need to match? They'll be individuals, unique people. If I were a twin I'd want a name completely separate from my twin's. I'd be my own person, not one of a set.

chevvyroo · 08/03/2023 21:40

Lorcan or Darragh.

Also Roisin is nice ( row sheen - meaning little rose)

HollyFern1110 · 08/03/2023 21:37

The only Aoife I know in real life has a sister called Maeve 😁. Their brother is Evan.

Marymary987 · 08/03/2023 21:37

Aoife and Maeve sounds lovely. I like Conal for a boy.
