I don't know, is he a prophet according to Islam as well? A lot of them are. But sometimes the names are slightly different, like I think Jesus is Isa? In the Koran. Or something like that.

Nice name that goes across different faiths and those of no faith.
Well known enough without ever being overly popular.

It makes me think of American Baptists. Its a biblical name , so it's obviously common among that group

Fwiw Eli is a different name and I've never heard it used as a diminutive of Elijah.
I like them both.
