I really really want to say it’s so lovely and pretty because that’s how it looks written down but like PPs have said the eurgh aspect is off putting :(

I think it's lovely but depending on your regional accent (sorry!)
For example not as lovely said in a Scottish or northern/Yorkshire/Liverpudlian accent etc....

A very good friend of mine has a daughter called Fleur, we live in York and it sounds beautiful even in our Northern accent, thank you very much! 😊
I love the name.

So, my name is Fleur. I am fifty years old next week, so I have some expertise in relation to your question! When I was growing up, unusual names were extremely uncommon, and I hated my name. However, I have NEVER met a new person in my entire life who hasn't said "What a pretty name!," or "I love your name!" and, as an adult I am now very happy my parents didn't chose a boring name for me.
Just a side note, it annoys me when websites say it's a French name. It's a French word, but not a French name. My brother married a French girl and I have visited the country many times and, whenever I meet a new French person, they think it's very funny that my name is Flower!

It's my middle name, you have to say it with a French accent otherwise it sounds weird.

Fleur only sounds nice when pronounced in French!
