I've always liked Moss, and maybe not as rare but Roman is nice too.

Moss was used as a shortened version of Maurice in Ireland. I'm not sure if it's still used as I've not heard of any baby Maurices lately

Maybe if you call you kids Ghteogaechtwjg or D#a4 but most of these names on here wouldn't stand out at my school. Only the Irish ones

Maybe if you live in Buttfuck Nowhere and every child is named out of the top 100. In my son's inner city school where 50+ languages are spoken, everyone has an 'unusual' name and nobody bats an eyelid at any of them.

In the latest rankings, Jude was 40th, and Ezra 51st, admittedly Toby would be higher if it was combined with Tobias... but Ivo is ranked 729, and Saul 871.

I refuse to believe that you know people with every single name on my list!

Anyway, you clearly want more unusual, so I'll bow out. I would caution you, though, against giving a name so unusual and "out there" that your son will hate it and risk being teased for it. At least give a more neutral middle name as an option.
