Due a little girl in April and stuck on names. Please can you give me thoughts/opinions/connotations on these?

Nell/Nelly

Hazel is the nicest. Fern and Madeleine are fine. Demelza Winnie and Nellie are dire.

Madeline - I like and I like Maddie
Hazel - like. Nice nature name and unusual sound and unfrilly. Makes me think of the tree.
Frida - Really like Frida. Arty vibes.
Nell/Nelly - I really like both of these. Along with Nora.
Fern - not so keen on Fern and I don't know why really as nice nature name.
Demelza - What would this be shortened to?
Winnie - I don't like Winnie as much as I feel I should. Makes me think of horses' whinnying or the word Whiny.
Nancy - not keen.

On the whole I really like your list.

Madeline - nice, but with above spellings
Hazel - nice
Frida - Sounds German, or Soundvif Music
Nell/Nelly - dislike, nickname for Agnes (Zoe Ball has a Nelly)

Fern - nice
Demelza - lovely, unusual
Winnie - dislike, nn for Winifred
Nancy - dislike , Nancy boy was an old slang word for being gay or effeminate

Madeline: love it, can't go wrong.
Hazel: lovely name.
Frida: not to my taste but an ok name.
Nell/Nelly: makes me think of Nelly the elephant so it's a no from me.
Fern: pretty mature name. I like but don't love it.
Demelza: dislike it, it always feels made up to me somehow.
Winnie: Winnie the Pooh or Winnie the witch so it'd be a no from me.
Nancy: nothing wrong with the name but I dislike it.
