Valentine for a boy

I'm pregnant with my second boy, due in April. I've always really liked the name Valentine for a boy.
Opinions please?

I think he will be bullied. How do you feel about the obvious shortening to Val? Personally I'd hate that too.

What's there to bully? And.what's wrong with Val?

William nickname Willy or Teddie are names that might get teased. But I can't see anything wrong with Valentine

I like Valentino but it's one of those names I like but would never use.

Not for me, no. I know a couple of Spanish female Valentinas, but not keen on that either tbh

I think it's a name that only comes into its own in adulthood, so it would be a no for me. It invites too much ridicule in childhood.

Valentine is very much a girls name in France, quite a popular one. Valentin is the male version.
