Opinions on Hazel?

Expecting a baby girl and tossing the name Hazel around. Looking for opinions on the name ie, what vibe does it give off/associations?

Really lovely - warm, timeless and has lots of nice natural imagery associated with it (hazel trees/colour).

Love it - it was on the list for DD. In fact, this is probably outing but 3yo DS liked it so much he told everyone the baby's name was Hazel for weeks (we went with something else in the end that had more of a nod to my ethnic heritage), and the response was unanimously positive. Much moreso than the response to her actual name, which is usually "sorry?" or occasionally "is that a name?" 😂🙄

Of the few Hazels I've met, one was quite timid, one was unkind and gossipy, one was a dog, and one was a friendly fellow school mum. So I don't have one particular image in mind for the name Grin

DD’s middle name. I wasn’t that sure on it at first, but it’s a family name so I wanted to use it. It’s really grown on me now though and I think it’s gorgeous! Very glad we went with it!

Lovely name. Becoming quite popular where I am (near Glasgow) as I've heard of three or four all under 5 but by no means too common.
