Satin or True

I like both.

Obviously I like unusual themes of names

Which if you had to, would you go with?

For a baby girl

Hannah
Athena
Helena
Serena

I think they're all just not to my taste!

I really like Serena or Athena. Selina/Celina could be another similar option. Have you considered Verity? Because Verity means Truth.

I think if you were going to call your daughter True then you should at least have named your son False. Otherwise why did he get to have a decent name?

Why don't you change your name to something ridiculous like Satin and give your child one of your husbands lovely names. I particularly like Serena. Otherwise at least stick your ridiculous name in the middle and have it as a middle name, they can always use it then if they want to when they are older. I really doubt they would though.

Serious, Satin at best sounds like a dancer from the Moulin Rouge c 1890 and True part of a mid West fundamentalist cult of a similar era.

I think Hannah is a bit dull with Marius but your DHs other choices would all work.

Satin is too close to Satan. It's also a bit stripperish.

Athena would be gorgeous alongside Marius though.

I'm with your DH. Listen to the man, he's talking sense on this one.

Satin is a man made fiber, a stripper name, a paint finish, or a tampon and True will constantly be mistaken for Drew, and will be the eyeroll of the staff room at school.

To opt for an unusual name your suggestions have to actually be names.

If you like Satin and True, why not amalgamate them into Sue?

Come on... Satin is a stripper name if I ever heard one. True isn't nearly as bad but I think it is the name of one of the Kardashians children which makes it vile in my mind.

I would assume True was short for Gertrude, or child of an ultra right wing US Republican family - sort of name Sarah Palin would have used.

Marius is a nice name. All your husband's choices are nice. But unusual/ international sounding. I like them all. No comment on Satin or True - condom brands?

Satin is a ridiculous stripper name. True is in Kardashian North, Story, Stormi mode. They don't get away with them as billionaire reality stars, so that should show you how well they work in everyday life.

I am hoping you know that and were joking.

Basic principle is that the name that is "normal" is the first name and the more (cough) unusual names are used as middle names.
And then, think about issues of how it all sounds, initials etc. For example I suspect electric cars don't have HT leads so Helena True ???? might be safe... but it depends on the surname too. I mean if the surname is Mann then Athena True Mann IS going to be teased....
