Hi guys, need help! which do you prefer from Max or Luca? Last name is Winter. One is my strong favourite and the other is my OH’s strong favourite 😐

Go for Max. Luca sounds sloppy and wet. I know its Italian but I don't get the popularity of it as a name.

My son has friends with both names and I really like both.

I think my favourite is Luca but it doesn't go very well with Winter. Max Winter sounds better.

I really love both, I know that's not much help but they're both so lovely. Think Luca for me as it's more unique but Max is beautiful too!! You'd have to find a name both you and your OP like.

Max Winter sounds like a character from a book. A badass character.
Lucas Winter or Luke Winter are OK. But Luca Winter doesn't sound right. "Look, a Winter!"
(In fact, I really like Lucas Winter...)

The Rebecca association for Max Winter is too much for me. Max is also a total bore of name.

Either! I think both are really great names. I don't think the fact Luca Winter is slightly harder to say matters a joy and I don't think Max Winter sounding like Maximum Winter matters a jot either.

Winter is a fab surname.

I much prefer Max. I would never pick Luca. But… Max Winter - Rebecca. It’s a good name, though.

I love the name Luca, but I don't think it flows particularly well with the surname ending in the same sound. Max Winter is better, but agree with pp that it sounds like turning up the coldness of winter to the max.
