Debra means ‘bee’. You could have Sydney Bee or Sydney Bea?

Thank you all lots of choice but still nothing is jumping out our surname is Willis my daughter likes ivyanne and anna-mae I would of like my mother or mother in laws name but there abit old Barbara and debra my grandma is sheila

I really like Sydney for a girl, but I think you need something distinctly feminine in the middle so she has options - as Sidney is a family name perhaps the middle name could just be something you like?

But as you mention Ann a lot

Sydney Annabel Willis works really well

mumonherphone · 03/02/2023 16:14

I would go for Sydney Anne or Sydney Bea, With 'b' being a key letter in Debra and Barbara.

Love Sydney by the way!

SallyWD · 03/02/2023 06:22

Out of all the options suggested I think Sydney Debra works best!

user1492757084 · 03/02/2023 05:43

Rae is taken from the letters of your mother's name. Debra which means bee as does Melissa.
Sydney also has a feminine form - Sydelle
Inspired from your list ...

Sydelle Rae
Beatrix Sydney
Sydney Melissa

What’s your mum’s maiden name, would it work?

or if you like family names, copy what you and your daughter have and go for Sydney Jaynez

Disneybaby12 · 01/02/2023 09:21

Yes I’d prefer to go with a family name me and my daughter have jayne as our middle name so don’t want the same I’d like something to do with my mums name debra as my mother in law we have the same surname iv never found it so hard before I said to my husband should we just change the first name but we really like it it was his grandads name

As you have the first name as a family name- I'd just go with what you like if you liked Sydney Raye but inside as your daughter thinks it's too boyish what about Sydney Faye? X
