Your opinion on name Idris for our boy?

Hey

DH and I are expecting our don soon, he loves the name Idris and if the name didn't automatically make people mention an actor I would it too, what's your opinion and first reactions to the name?

I love it, first thought was Idris the dragon.

Also makes me think Ivor the engine, then Idris Elba, but they are not bad associations.

I love it, one of my fave boys names. Unfortunately I can't use it for any future son as our daughter is Enid - and I think they sound too similar!

So definitely go with it OP. 😆

Haha, I have an Enid and an Edris – useful for matching nametapes if nothing else.

I love it, one of my fave boys names. Unfortunately I can't use it for any future son as our daughter is Enid - and I think they sound too similar!

I think it's nice. It means 'fiery' so just be prepared to cope with that, if he lives up to his name meaning.😊
