Help on choosing a girl's name to go with Claudia and Sienna

Hi all - my partner and I can't decide on names for our second daughter (his third). Would LOVE advice!! Our current combined children are:

Claudia Colliver
Sienna Rose Colliver

and the new baby will be XXX Mae Colliver. We are trying to decide between:

Ava Mae
Erin Mae
Sadie Mae

(Ava is my fave but is it just TOO popular)? My partner loves Erin but we don't have any Irish ancestry and I don't know if that would be weird. Sadie is super-cute but hoping to avoid names beginning with the same letter if possible (my sister and I both begin with E and it was a nightmare with post).

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Claudia, Sienna and Sadie sounds the most like 3 sisters to me. But I like Erin and Ava too.

NoraVanDoogle · 19/01/2023 21:45

Or Nora Mae 😂

NoraVanDoogle · 19/01/2023 21:44

Honestly I’d drop the Mae as I think it’s over used.
But if you really love it how about Valentina Mae?

ghislaine · 19/01/2023 21:36

I agree with a PP, you have a Roman theme going on there. How about Portia? Livia would be another option if you wanted another 3 syllable names.

GrouchyKiwi · 19/01/2023 21:13

Of the names you've listed I prefer Ava.

Before opening the thread I thought Laura.

Aphrathestorm · 19/01/2023 20:50

I like Sadie

Or
Saskia
Avery
Sorcha

Lmes · 19/01/2023 20:40

What about
Matilda
Lydia
Romy

CloudPop · 19/01/2023 20:24

Evie Mae?

Monjardin12 · 19/01/2023 20:20

Of the three you like, I would go with Sadie, but I also love

Vanessa
Rebecca
Nastasia
Marianne
Vivienne
Jennet
Thalia
Janice
Daphne
Rosalind

What about Avery Mae (prefer May tbh) - then it's a bit more unusual and she has same number of syllables as her sisters

Off topic but why has dd1 not got a middle name?

I'm not sure! My partner and his ex didn't seem to feel one was necessary. I love a good middle name so feel it's a missed opportunity! :)

Love Sadie.

ScreamALullabye · 19/01/2023 20:14

I like Erin.
What about Avery instead of Ava?

I wouldn't worry too much about the Irish aspect. It's not actually an Irish name and one that's rarely used here. It's a lovely name though!

Amelie is lovely and goes with your other girls well.

Ahhh I love Amelie, but as my name is Emily it is alas too similar! :)

Lauren 💕

Relaxd · 19/01/2023 18:34

I like Erin best off the list. Evie and Edie are lovely names too and sound great with Mae. You’ll almost never say the full names but you will say ‘Claudia, Sienna, Erin, come inside please’ so see how it feels to say that. Personally I think a y or EE sounding name works well with this mix.

Icantakemyselfdancing · 19/01/2023 18:34

As you like Ava

I also think
Anna
Annabel
Arabella

would go with the other two beautiful names

Floralnomad · 19/01/2023 18:33

Alana was the first name that came to mind to go with your others . Of your 3 I’d go for Sadie .

jackstini · 19/01/2023 18:27

BearingFalseWitness · 19/01/2023 18:18

Sadie is a lovely name but it seems a departure from her sisters names which are more elegant.

cravingtoblerone · 19/01/2023 18:16

Ava is lovely but is absolutely everywhere these days. Depends whether that bothers you or not.

Erin seems a bit drab and nothingy compared to Claudia and Sienna IMO...

Sadie Mae is lovely. I'd go for that...

PrinceHaz · 19/01/2023 18:12

With Claudia and Sienna, I’d choose something similarly striking and kind of ancient Roman sounding e.g.
Alexandra
Romilly
Julia or Juliette (even Julie)
Cosima
Serena
Livia
Valentina
Lucia

I’m not keen on the something followed by Mae names. They also seem quite a departure from your other girls’ names.

RhubarbFairy · 19/01/2023 18:09

I know twins that are Olivia and Sienna, so always thought they worked well together.

Sadie is my favourite from your list. Vastly underused name, but all of the names are beautiful.

On our girls list were

Edie
Isabel
Imogen
Alice
Charlotte

Waspsnbees · 19/01/2023 18:01

they're all fairly popular names, and all lovely, so i wouldn't necessarily rule out ava.
i don't really think i'd worry too much about them 'going' with your other names, just cos i think they're very different names. imo claudia is timeless classic, sienna is more modern/trendy. plus i don't think names necessarily need to be similar within a family.
good luck choosing! you can't go far wrong :)

Bluevelvetsofa · 19/01/2023 17:47

I love Sadie.
