Elliot or Felix

I’m driving myself a bit mad - keep thinking I’ve chosen a name then going back to the drawing board. So I’m determined this is my final post and then I’ll go and live my life!

Here goes: Elliot or Felix (surname Marshall).

Worried about nicknames and keen to avoid anything mega posh, which in my mind would be like Tristan or Hugo (or maybe Sebastian).

Elliott, but I note that you spelt it as Elliot. He'll get Eliot too.
Prefer Max to both names but the x runs into the m, and I hear MacSmarshall.
Felix is ok but DCat refuses to eat it.

Felix is a much nicer name, and only has one spelling. Elliot always bothers me, I never know how many Ls and Ts is has, or if one spelling is for boys and one for girls.

I also like both but slightly prefer Elliot. Good balance of unusual (as in, you probably dont know 5) and familiar.

Thanks, I asked the same question re Elliot or Max a few weeks ago and the consensus was the opposite so it’s interesting!

They're both good, but I prefer Felix, which is a little bit different without being odd. Felix suggests a very musical or artistic child.
