Girls name that meets crazy criteria

paganpath · 15/01/2023 16:30

TTC baby number 3, boys name is already picked but we really struggle with girls. We have a bit of a criteria for names, they have to be heard of but not overused, 5 letters and 2 syllables. Middle name will be Rebekah.
Some names that we like but don’t feel like the one are Carys, Cindy, Dinah, Heidi, Mavis and Moira.
Any ideas?

You love Morag? Please don’t choose that one. I don’t know if perceived differently outside Scotland but I can’t imagine a child thanking you for it.

Best of luck.

Just a thought but a lot of the ones you like end in 'a' sound like your middle name choice Rebekah which makes it a bit of a mouthful to say.
Carys Rebekah
Mavis Rebekah
Circe Rebekah
Taryn Betsy Agnes Bette

OP you have every right to choose the names you like and the criteria too! Ignore those negative ppl who have nothing better to do... sad really 🤣

Have you read the Madeline Miller book Circe? It's written from Circe's pov. I finished it a couple of days ago, it's really good. Sorry, not any help for names although it may push you towards choosing Circe

It was recommended upthread. I’ll definitely give it a read, it sounds brilliant. I do love the name Circe

Love Vaila, Lorna, Moria, Linda, Morag, I love Susan and definitely think it’s due a comeback. Also love Donna but that’s a family members name
