Cordelia and Tabitha

LightHousePanda · 13/01/2023 15:43

Cordelia - Yes (my fav)
Seraphina - Too much and makes me think of the cosmetic shop
Aurelia - Yes
Luciana - Yes (2nd fav)
Tabitha - sounds like a cat's name to me

Montague22 · 13/01/2023 15:09

I considered Seraphina for a middle name.
The potential boring ‘Sera’ nickname might put me off using it as a first name.
I don’t let people shorten my name though, so that’s probably overthinking.

HoppingAndHoping · 13/01/2023 15:03

i love "frilly" (aka long, end with a) names.

Aurelia is probably my least favourite (I really dislike the Anglo pronunciation of that name).
Tabitha isn't my cup of tea.

Cordelia is probably my favourite of these.

And I agree with a pp, Cornelia is gorgeous.

jackstini · 13/01/2023 14:51

Seraphina
Also like Mariana

Reugny · 13/01/2023 13:28

Luciana - the one I know is called 'Lu' for short.

Tabitha next

The rest seem a real moutful.

B1993 · 13/01/2023 13:25

Tabitha reminds me of cats haha - probably from the Beatrix Potter books.

I think, from the list, I'd have to say Cordelia.

Other options worth considering might be: Henrietta, Louisa, Emelia (although is quite popular), Aysha, Carolina (cora for short?).

DRS1970 · 13/01/2023 13:22

Tabitha

ChristmasJumpers · 13/01/2023 13:21

If you're still looking for ideas:
Aurora
Theodora
Matilda

ChristmasJumpers · 13/01/2023 13:20

Seraphina or Aurelia

America12 · 13/01/2023 13:19

Aurelia -
Isabella?

Consufed · 13/01/2023 13:18

Luciana.

BellatrixLestrangesHeatedCurlers · 13/01/2023 13:17

Tabitha. Luciana is nice but I prefer the slightly shorter version, Lucia.

AndStand · 13/01/2023 13:01

Cordelia. But I also like Lydia.

stopringingme · 13/01/2023 12:54

Cordelia or Tabitha

Whitewolf2 · 13/01/2023 12:50

Cordelia would be my number 1.

I think Aurelia and Serephina are less practical, would involve a fair bit of mispronunciation and spelling though they are both very pretty too

Theoldwoman · 13/01/2023 12:49

Tabitha

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 13/01/2023 12:36

Aurelia and Cordelia

roarfeckingroarr · 13/01/2023 12:33

Aurelia and Seraphina are on my list. Love them.

Twoinapod · 13/01/2023 12:24

Tabitha, it was a strong contender for DD2 but DD1 says ‘th’ as ‘f’ so we had to rule it out

modgepodge · 13/01/2023 12:20

I like Aurelia. What about Georgiana?

Reclining · 13/01/2023 12:20

Luciana and Aurelia

ShesThunderstorms · 13/01/2023 12:19

Seraphina. I wonder if it would get shortened to Sera though, which is quite close to Sarah and not quite the same vibe as Seraphina.

Larrythellama · 13/01/2023 12:17

Arabella?

Sgtmajormummy · 13/01/2023 12:17

Of your list: Aurelia. BUT English pronunciation makes it a bit “Scooby Doo”
”oooor-real-yer”
Amelia is easier to say IMO.
My favourite frilly name is “Eleonora” with every single syllable pronounced to the max!
