Which is your preferred spelling?

Also do you see this as a stand-alone name or is Eleanora/Leanora/Honora better suggested and then have Nora as a nn- can’t decide if these are too “frilly” and I think Nora/Norah sounds fab, just interested in thoughts 💭

Not pregnant. Just love discussing names and have had lists for years 😊 DP and I were watching Ted Lasso last night and there’s a character called Nora and we both really like it.

Nora.

Norah is how I would automatically spell it. However, looking at the England & Wales 2021 baby names listing it seems Nora is more popular here, 406 babies spelt that way compared to 176 babies spelt Norah. For me, when thinking about a name with multiple spelling options I would always go for path of least resistance and select the most common one. Obviously barring personal reasons such as it being a family name spelt another way, or coming from a culture which prefers the alternative spelling...

I suppose Nora is marginally less ugly than Norah, but there's not much in it.

It's a standalone name.
