Because 20 month old dd thinks that's what we should call the new baby when it arrives.

Poor kid.

pontipinemum · 17/10/2023 12:22

How is 15 yr old Sherbert getting on?

Hotchocolatemousse · 17/10/2023 06:38

Ds called dd carrot for the first three years of her life.

Carouselfish · 16/10/2023 22:48

My toddler names everything Cupcake or Brioche. How about those OP?

CastleTower · 16/10/2023 20:40

Only if you can spell it correctly. It's "sherbet". People always get that wrong.

Although "sherbert" allows for Bertie I suppose!

ChocolateCinderToffee · 16/10/2023 20:12

When I was small my headteacher was called Herbert and my mother, who didn't like him, called him Sherbet.

peaceinourtime · 16/10/2023 09:09

Sherbet could work as a name.

Peachy · 05/02/2008 14:46

God NO1 I hope this is a joke! A bit of a sherbert where I come from is someone with no ounce of common sense.

Mind you, ds1 wantes to call baby M. Just that, M. And he doesn't watch 007 either.

Wolfgirl · 05/02/2008 14:46

No - dont like it. Straight away I thought of Shergar - the race horse. Or one of those old fashioned sherbert fountains with the liquorice stick in the middle. Oooooh no, not for me

moljam · 05/02/2008 14:45

My brother named me. Thank God we have an eight year gap, and he wasn't cruel in his choice!

MrsMattie · 05/02/2008 08:07

pmsl

aDad · 05/02/2008 08:03

... but we were set on the name Banana and that's what we went for.

aDad · 05/02/2008 08:03

dd1 wanted dd2 to be called Raspberry or Strawberry

OrmIrian · 05/02/2008 07:53

Only with lemon as middle name.

seeker · 05/02/2008 07:37

Ice-T's younger siste is Iced Gem.

kittywise · 05/02/2008 07:34

Whispa? How about snickers, I feel it's got a touch more class.

MrsMattie · 04/02/2008 23:25

Sherbert is cockney rhyming slang for a cab. So good name for a future taxi driver, then.

jasper · 04/02/2008 23:23

fantastic.
Made me hoot with laughter.

seeker · 04/02/2008 22:44

I think Whispa is a lovely name.

Or Texan for a boy.

Not at all Kitty.
Doesn't everyone let their toddler name the new baby?
