Ae is normally pronounced eh - might be easier to spell it Elia to get the right pronunciation? Also much easier to spell when she starts school...

I appreciate the history of the name, but in the UK it will be pronounced something very close to "alien".

As previous poster said, three syllables, not four: Ee-li-ah.

Also (in ancient Rome) sometimes spelled Ailia: Ay-li-ah

Personally I prefer names that contain at least one consonant. This one is just a vowel salad.

I'm so sorry, I LOVE unusual names and names from all countries & cultures but this really-really-really sounds like Alien when you say it out loud (and when people are called names, it's out loud not written down). It sounds like Alien a LOT. Sorryyyyyy xx

I think it's from the Greek, not Latin.
Helios is Ancient Greek for sun. It's sol in Latin.

I would pronounce it Aliyaah on first swift read.
I have a spelling name that swift reads wrong 90% for people. Way to many vowels.
You are condemning your child to a lifetime of negative interactions from certificates to talking to anyone at the end of a phone.
