Hey guys. So I have completely changed my mind on baby girls name! I have three in mind which are - Robyn (my favourite) Imogen Sienna I am due on Boxing Day! What do you guys think?

I would have thought Robyn in America and Robin in England, Ireland, Wales Scotland.

Also, I think that Robin has pretty much fallen out of use for boys so if I heard of a baby Robin born 2022 I would still assume girl. I mean, I wouldn't bet my house on it, but I would think Robin is a girl.

It really really hasn't, Robin was the 103th most popular boy name in 2021 and rising!

I love Robin for boys and girls. In my understanding Robin is unisex and Robyn is female. Robyn is 71st for girls and Robin 361st.

I like Robyn but I agree with pp that you should decide when she is born.
I know 1 adult make Robin and 2 females, one adult and one 2yo and they are both Robyn.

I think Bobbie is cute for a nickname! But I personally probably won’t shorten her name.

Aww Robin is gorgeous for a Christmas baby. Do you think she'll get Bobbie? Reminds me of the railway children. Although she was a Roberta. Imogen is timeless. I know it's fairly trendy but it was the name Enid Blyton chose for her daughter in the thirties.

Sienna just feels a bit Brit pop and of it's time. Like Brittany or India.

Of the three, Imogen.
Robyn/Robin as a middle name would be a nice nod to the time of year. Boxing Day birthday is not the best birthday.

I also thought that Robyn was the female version! I will definitely keep that in mind! I was more worried about Sienna being American and dated, such a hard choice as I don’t want to chose a name to then regret not choosing another name in the future.

I love Robyn. Might be slightly put off giving it to a Boxing Day baby because there could be years of comments but think I'd still do it. Would stick with the the y spelling for that reason too (plus, in the UK, it's always been Robyn for a girl and Robin for a boy. I don't think other countries have that distinction so it might be fading out here too, idk)

I like Imogen too. Sienna is ok.

I think the Robyn spelling for a girl is new-ish (60s, 70s)

I know two elderly female UK Robins - one just Robin the other short for Roberta

I don’t think the y spelling is used for girls anywhere else - in the US it’s deffo just Robin. I think it’s fussy.

love Robin (no need for the y spelling IMO, it’s a weird 70s invention. Robin is unisex eg actress Robin Wright)

Imogen is OK

Not keen on Sienna - Serena, Sabrina, Selina, Sanchia, Susannah, Shoshanna, are all nicer alternatives I think

There are plenty of female Robins - Robin Curtis the actress comes to mind, and Robin in the Strike books although admittedly she is fictional! I prefer it without the y, but either way, I think Robin is a lovely name for a Boxing Day child. I also really like Imogen.

Definitely Robyn. Especially given the time of year. Minor point , I prefer the " Robin" spelling personally, ( I have one ) , but either way it's a fabulous name. Adult DD loves and has always loved being called Robin.
