Grace by a long way

Don't like the others - Alice always seems 'wet' to me, and Margot is 'meh' at best.

This for me too

Pick Alice or Grace.

Margot may sound pretty to us as adults but kids in the playground will make fun of her.

My source for this is my cousin who spent the 90s being called Margot Escargot or Maggot and it followed her to high school. Kids can be arseholes.

Figgypudding123 · 22/12/2022 14:44

In order of preference

Alice
Margot
Grace (so bored of Grace, it's bloody everywhere!)

ekm21 · 22/12/2022 14:36

Margot Alice!

MissyB1 · 22/12/2022 14:25

Alice.

Purplemagnolias · 22/12/2022 14:20

Margot pronounced Margott sounds so harsh.

Theoldwoman · 22/12/2022 13:39

Alice Rhiannon
Alice Genevieve
Alice Renee
Alice Frances
Alice Lillian
Alice Zara
Alice Charlotte
Alice Clare
Alice Kate

ShirleyValentin3 · 22/12/2022 13:11

Margot Grace is beautiful.

Never really liked Alice - agree with PP that it feels a bit 'wet'...(Vicar of Dibley is to blame!)

Season0fTheWitch · 22/12/2022 13:02

Margot for sure.
Alice is a bit meh to me (sorry to anyone called Alice)
The only Grace's I've known are highly religious so it's a little off putting

BlueSuffragette · 22/12/2022 12:50

Grace then Alice. Not keen on Margot at all.

shreddies · 22/12/2022 12:48

Alice

NameIsBryceQuinlan · 22/12/2022 12:47

I love grace

DramaAlpaca · 22/12/2022 12:47

Alice.

Easy choice, I don't like the others.

JoyfulGirl · 22/12/2022 12:47

Margot is nice, that would be my choice.

Alice is twee and prissy.

Grace is massively overdone as a middle name, although I’ve not heard it so much as a first name. I don’t hate it I suppose.

LizzieBet14 · 22/12/2022 12:46

Alice

MajorCarolDanvers · 22/12/2022 12:46

All lovely but Margot has the edge

TotteringByGenteely · 22/12/2022 12:45

I love Alice!
Grace would be my second choice.
Margot reminds me of The Good Life.

fenellavonspurtz · 22/12/2022 12:44

GarlicSauce · 22/12/2022 11:43

Alice

Margot just isn't that nice of a name and Grace or any attribute name is too much of a risk. Grace always ends up to be a clumsy rather large woman.

Grace Kelly wants a word. Rein in the gross attitude.

fenellavonspurtz · 22/12/2022 12:43

LaLuz7 · 22/12/2022 11:36

I like Alice best.

Margot sounds too much like maggot

Have you considered Magda instead?

Why do people on here do this? The OP has stated Margo as a choice. Stop trying to tweak it.

BCBird · 22/12/2022 12:38

Like them all. Grace,Margot and Alice in that order. Like Agnès too,but pronunciation might be a problem.

KirstenBlest · 22/12/2022 12:32

@Marcipex , the spelling Margot is far more popular than Margo or Margaux. Margo would be 'Margo-without-a-T'

I think people like the name because they subconsciously think of Margot Robbie (cf. Darcey and Dame Darcey, Audrey, ...)

As for middle names, Alice Grace doesn't flow, and I really dislike Jayne

ChristmasJingleBalls · 22/12/2022 12:31

Alice.

Grace is so overused and is every girl’s middle name.

Not a fan of Margot.

TenThousandSpoons · 22/12/2022 12:24

All are nice. I’d choose Alice as Grace was v popular 15-ish years ago and Margot is very of the moment. Alice more timeless.
