My 4 month old is called Avie and we pronounce 'Ay Vee'. Everyone who has seen her name written down says the same

It’s a-vee. Under the ‘rules’ of English language, adding an E or an EE makes the initial vowel sound its name. So adding E makes an A a literally ‘A’ not an ah or anything else.
