For DC1 he would be known as Frank day to day, it would take a lot to change our mind but what are your thoughts on this name?

Love the name! Not too keen on "Frank" though.

Eixample · 08/12/2022 11:54

Love it

gaf · 08/12/2022 11:52

Really dislike it. It’s so wet and drab.

I even remember a Frances at primary school and thinking what an awful name.

imnotthatkindofmum · 08/12/2022 06:22

Love it! I have a female Frances. Weird that the male equivalent wasn't on my list 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's a family name for us, she's named after my dad and his mum.

She uses Frankie as a nn.

DariaMorgendorffer · 07/12/2022 21:24

Love it.

resm · 07/12/2022 21:19

Love it!

ghislaine · 07/12/2022 21:11

It’s a lovely name and has lots of good associations - St Francis of Assisi, Pope Francis, Francis Drake, Francis Crick.

Go for it!

fairycupcakes · 07/12/2022 21:02

Not hugely keen on Francis, I see it more of a girls name (aware that is Frances) love Frank/ Frankie as nn for Franklin though

LlynTegid · 07/12/2022 20:06

Not one I would choose. Frank I'd immediately think of Frank Spencer or Frank Skinner, not the Pope.

MalagaNights · 07/12/2022 20:04

Love it.

It is a refined name. The name of an artist, or a writer, or film maker.

purpleme12 · 07/12/2022 20:01

I would have said yes if it was for a girl.

Not so much for a boy

Calmondeck · 07/12/2022 19:41

Know a very sexy 30-something Francis who gets Frank as an nn, and a very sweet 3 month old Frank (birth certificate Franklin) who is currently getting Frankie by extended family/friends. Frank is certainly a strong name for a tiny newborn but I think they grow into it

Luredbyapomegranate · 07/12/2022 19:15

Love it!

RambamThankyouMam · 07/12/2022 18:34

Hideous name. So greasy.

JaneJeffer · 07/12/2022 17:35

Lovely name

Mercurial123 · 07/12/2022 17:28

No.

FearofQueefing · 07/12/2022 16:51

The only one I've ever met is absolutely lovely, so nothing but positive associations for me. Smile

nomorespaghetti · 07/12/2022 16:47

Love it, have one!

mathanxiety · 07/12/2022 16:36

Gorgeous name and the nickname is great.
Frankie is nice too for a baby and toddler.

Choconut · 07/12/2022 16:36

I hate Francis, it just makes me think of a wet lettuce or fop. It's ok for a girl, awful for a boy. I think Franklin is much better if you like the nn Frank.

RuthW · 07/12/2022 16:30

Lovely

AllPlayedOut · 07/12/2022 16:09

Francis is awful. Wet, dull and unattractive.

Frank is even worse. It has such a harsh and ugly sound. I can't imagine looking at a lovely newborn and wanting to call him such a hideous name as Frank.

MontanaRivers · 07/12/2022 16:06

I like it, have you considered Franklin? I know an old man with this name, he’s lovely.

SummaLuvin · 07/12/2022 16:04

I quite like it. I prefer the elegant simplicity of Frank.

Spanielsarepainless · 07/12/2022 15:53

I love it. In various forms it's a family name.
