Have whittled it down to three names but still can't decide, which do you prefer? Thank you

George

bloodyplanes · 06/12/2022 22:01

Arthur is soooooo common! George is ok but id choose Edward, shortened to Ted!

Coconutcream123 · 06/12/2022 21:47

Edward or George.
I prefer traditional. I also find it amusing when people say these names are overused and too popular, when loads of the new names are massively overused.

TeddyBeans · 06/12/2022 21:42

Arthur has my vote OP

RambamThankyouMam · 06/12/2022 21:42

They're all so boring!

Teddy?

Surely Edward shortens to Ed? Or Eddie? Where on earth does the T come from??

Same place the N comes from for Ned. People have an inbuilt desire to make things rhyme Ed - Ned - Ted, Eddie - Teddy

Mittens1717 · 06/12/2022 21:37

Arthur is lovely

I like George and the nicknames for Edward. Especially Teddy

Cakecakecheese · 04/12/2022 20:15

We liked George but went with Edward as two friends had babies called George when he was born. I wouldn't have considered Arthur because I can't pronounce 'th' sounds so he'd be Arfer.

Purplemagnolias · 04/12/2022 19:47

Edward -> Ed, Eddie

Arthur -> Arth, Arthie

George -> Georgie

Geranium1984 · 04/12/2022 19:17

I like all of them. We have an Edward so obviously I'd go with that. We have lots of possible nick names, Teddy, Ted, Eddie, Ed, Ned....

OrangePomander · 04/12/2022 19:00

Edward or Arthur

Cosycover · 04/12/2022 18:59

Arthur? Really?

Thruandthru1 · 04/12/2022 18:56

George or Edward

toastofthetown · 04/12/2022 18:54

They're all very popular and safe names. It doesn't really matter which one you pick as they are all largely interchangeable, with the caveat that George and Edward are perennially popular, never having left the top hundred in England and Wales, whereas Arthur dropped out in the 1960s, and has exploded in popularity again recently so is more likely to date. You could always wait until he is born and see if you feel one suits him better,

PeaceJoySleep · 04/12/2022 14:29

George or Edward.
Arthur is awful. I like dated names but this is just so ugly.

Rauha · 04/12/2022 14:28

George

CaptainCastillo · 04/12/2022 14:24

The only one I like out of these three Is Arthur. Its adorable!

NewToWoo · 04/12/2022 11:21

I love all of them, with a slight preference for Edward (not that I'm biased Xmas Grin)

Soproudoflionesses · 04/12/2022 11:18

Love Edward

IvyDora · 04/12/2022 11:17

@Purplemagnolias haha Ned is a common nickname for Edward 🤣🤣 this response did make me laugh though!

soulinablackberrypie · 04/12/2022 09:35

I like them all, but I think I like Arthur the best by a very small margin.

Purplemagnolias · 04/12/2022 09:09

Edward - as many nicknames he could choose from too - Ed, Eddie, Ned

It's Edward, not Nedward Confused
