Middle name for Stormi?

Having a hard time choosing. I like Autumn and DH likes Rose. But not keen on either as it sounds like a description rather than a name. Open to any and all suggestions

Op what about Gail (as in high winds) as an alternative to Stormi but it sounds more like a name.

It's a coach company round our way.

'Go the Waverley Way' 👀

The Waverley the Oldest Sea going paddle steamer in the world, as well as Edinburghs main station

It's a no from me.

FearofQueefing · 07/12/2022 14:00

Just seen you've found an alternative. Best of luck to you, Op.

FearofQueefing · 07/12/2022 13:57

I always roll my eyes when someone declares 'that's a porn star name' but, in this case, they are quite literally correct. Do you really want your kid connected with Stormy Daniel's??

lifeinthehills · 06/12/2022 21:03

I'm glad you've found a name you love. Who cares what your family think? It's not their baby.

astyr · 06/12/2022 20:04

Only updating because I find it a little humorous. But we've found another name that just stuck although I can't remember if it was suggested on this thread or another. However, when I told my family the new name they absolutely hate it and want to call her by her middle name which I am absolutely not okay with. New name is a lot more "normal" than stormi. Just think it's a little funny that all the people on this post thought my family was being nice. They are definitely a "say what you mean" type of people. But regardless. I found a name I love and that is all that matters. Whether it would've stayed stormi or not

I’m not sure I believe that the OP didn’t realise Kylie Kardashian’s kid was called a Stormi…

I can't believe you don't know that's not her name, she is not a Kardashian

marblemad · 06/12/2022 00:56

Why Stormi? The kardashians get away with it because of wealth but it looks 'chavvy' without the wealth

CaptainCastillo · 04/12/2022 20:08

girlmom21 · 02/12/2022 07:42

It's not really a debate but more a hopeful wake up call.

This. I'm seriously begging you not to call your child Stormi. Give your child a normal name, one she wont get bullied with. Please.

eyeslikeeggs · 04/12/2022 17:51

Stormi Cloudi Meatballi

ThereAreNamesAndThereAreNamez · 03/12/2022 20:13

Penelope is somewhat downgraded by the Kardashian association but there is legend behind it.

Similarly, the day Robbie Williams named his daughter Theodora, was an awful day. She is likely to be heavily promoted in the near future, hopefully not gurning with a vast ego to match.

SleepingStandingUp · 03/12/2022 19:58

Am I the only one who thought Stormzy then Storm off Down on The Farm, not a Kardashian? I mean if we can't do Jenner or Kardashian names, I guess Penelope is out too!

ThereAreNamesAndThereAreNamez · 03/12/2022 19:42

Strong associations, not string!!

Do those names come with a Met Office weather warning?

For seafaring nations, throughout history fair weather and the fortune of breeze to the sails was a matter of life or death to the crew. This is a dramatic version of that I suppose.

@OP I prefer established nature names, however this isn’t it, and Stormi is way too connected to the Kardashians, worse still, many people’s brains will jump to the soundclip of her affronted mother saying “Stormiiiii, you look like Mommiiii babiiii ”. She unintentionally sounds like Miss Piggy. Google it. You won’t be able to get out of your mind for days.

Instead, what about Tempest if you like the string connotations of a storm.

Or what about Alizé or Alizée which means trade wind/tropical wind with reference to seas, sailing, and positive nautical connotations. A well established French name, it has many namesakes, including James Middleton’s wife.

Theoldwoman · 03/12/2022 15:07

Stormi Kate
Stormi Clare

IDontWantToBeAPie · 02/12/2022 22:00

@DogInATent God I didn't even think of that! Good catch I suppose.

Why not just go for Storm? It's out there but works better as a name imo.

Storm Rose
Storm Julia
Storm Viola

Etc
