Thoughts on Keeley or Keely?

Which spelling looks correct to you?

Is it boring or dated? DH and I seem to always go for names many people consider dated.

Is it better than Kayleigh?

The same people who turn their nose up at that name probably are those that opt for the very sickly-sweet and unoriginal Aurelia/Olivia/Sophia/Aurora names.

Keeley.

I like it, had a friend named that in the 90's. Never known it associated with certain people and I haven't heard it that often.

I love the name Keeley.

Be warned though, MN with deem it common, dated and chavvy.

Yes, it is all 3!

Keeley.
Reminds me of Keeley Hawes who is a very classy and beautiful lady!

Also really like Kayleigh. It's soft and pretty and means dance in Irish.

IntentionalError · 27/11/2022 17:25

Keeley sounds like a beautician from Essex.

NuffSaidSam · 27/11/2022 17:23

Definitely Keeley.

I don't think it's as dated as Kayleigh or other names of the same era because it was never super popular.

I think it's quite nice.

Keeley. Like Keeley Hawes. Much better than Kayleigh which is extremely dated and has class-based connotations rightly or wrongly.

Definitely Keeley. Personally think it's a great name 😄

It sounds like a hairdresser in an 80s soap.
