Cute but "spunky" baby girl name suggestions needed!

Okay, I have quite specific requirements for baby girl 2 but haven't come across "the one" yet.

I like: Amber, Phoebe, Matilda,

I like names that are easily spelled/pronounced, but not top 10, have a little bit of an edge and could stand the test of time. Ideally around 5-8 letters and not end in the letter Y.

The Bleu I know of is pronounced Blue.

But…. oh never mind

Polecat07 · 23/11/2022 18:51

Yeah, spunky is probably too subjective, none of those you listed give me that impression at all.

The names that came to my mind:

Roxanne/Roxy
Jessica
Maxine
Vivienne

YukoandHiro · 23/11/2022 15:18

Totally agree this thread is way to subjective to be helpful to the OP. For me Saskia is the opposite of spunky but then it reminds me of an incredibly drab person I knew at school.

Alba, Fie (or Fiona for something more recognisable), Winnie, Lena, Katharina, Lovisa, Josephine.

(I’ve been watching a lot of continental European drama - there’s some great name inspiration there)

Sasha is for girls too! Diminutive of Alexandra. Just like Alex.

I did not know this! My daughter has a non English variant on Alexandra and I'd love to call her Sasha

MatildaJayne · 23/11/2022 11:02

Jean, fab name, definitely due a comeback.

I love your choices, I also love a spunky girls' name. I would include Jemima, Harriet, Lois, Clara, Martha.

Kate; Jackie; Catriona

I don't think Amber, Phoebe or Matilda are spunky (but they are nice).

I always liked Sasha for a girl though I know its originally a boys name (nick name for Alexander). I think it has a certain energy.
