Baby sister for Daisy

So I am pregnant and expecting another girl. I need some girls names to go with my current DD Daisy. Although it wasn't a consideration when she was born, as she has gotten older we have a lot of daisy things, like photo frames, handbag, earrings etc and so I quite like the idea of another name which could have a little symbol or trinket attached to it. I generally go for quite classic, traditional names. Can't use Grace or Lily due to close family.
Here is my current list:

Willow
Nancy
Bonnie
Martha
Beatrix
Mabel
Elsie
Violet
Molly
Etta
Eloise
Olive
Cleo
Nell

Any thoughts or other suggestions very gratefully received!
:)

Beatrix/Beatrice NN Bea with lots of lovely Bee themed trinkets!

I love this idea!

Lettherebedelight · 26/11/2022 11:27

Martha or Nancy from your list.
Alice is a favourite of mine if DS had been a girl.

Beatrix/Beatrice NN Bea with lots of lovely Bee themed trinkets!

From your list I like Willow, Nancy, Mabel, Violet, Molly, Olive and Cleo. The Daisy’s I know have sisters called Phoebe and Millie

mylittlepony13 · 25/11/2022 21:59

I like Beatrix but much prefer Beatrice. Especially when paired with Daisy, as they are both soft sounding and look prettier together. Daisy and Bea sounds wonderful! So sweet.

JamSandle · 25/11/2022 04:55

Emerald
Ruby

VickerishAllsort · 23/11/2022 20:44

Robin
Stella
Briony
Coral
Emerald

Tripsabroad · 23/11/2022 12:32

First thoughts were Martha and Miranda before I read about the trinkets thing.

Robin was my next thought.

Thanks all, these are super helpful. I need to get DH to chuck some preferences my way, but so far I think my favourite 2 are:
Daisy & Violet
Daisy & Beatrix

This whole naming babies thing is so hard, especially when it is the 3rd one of the same gender (one stillborn) as it is hard to find a name which doesn't feel like a second best or reject choice from the previous 2!

Our twins are Violet and Daisy and we get a ridiculous amount of compliments Grin

mumonherphone · 23/11/2022 11:34

I'd go for a jewel name rather than another flower.
Amber, Ruby, Jade, Sapphire, Pearl

Or a bird, Robyn or Wren

MerryChristmasToYou · 23/11/2022 09:18

Cherry
Holly
Poppy
Dolly
Teddy

DD2 will probably get fewer 'personalised' things anyway, unless you make a conscious effort to give her as many.

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 23/11/2022 09:13

Bonnie or Cleo are my favourites.

Regarding the symbol or trinket, I would either go for a precious or semi-precious stone name like Pearl, Ruby, Coral, Emerald or a name which means star (Stella, Astrid, Seren, Nova).

This is the best suggestion :)

NCFT0922 · 23/11/2022 09:10

I really love Violet. It was on our list for DD2 along with Daisy.

VenusClapTrap · 23/11/2022 09:07

I’d avoid another flower name. It’s just so twee. If you must go horticultural I’d pick something more foliage inspired like Holly, Fern or Willow. I like the suggestions of Robyn, Stella, Beatrix (Bee) and Wren. I’ll add:

Lark
Linnet

halofern · 22/11/2022 22:12

Nancy
Bonnie
Mabel

NorthPoleStar · 22/11/2022 22:08

Marigold (Goldie)

Octopus45 · 22/11/2022 22:06

How about Opal

JamSandle · 22/11/2022 21:46

Daisy and Rose.
Daisy and May.

Babymamma192 · 22/11/2022 21:45

I have a daisy and an iris....can't find many iris things tho! I bought a daisy chain bracelet when daisy was born but can't find any jewellery with iris's on......although iris means rainbow so I could get something with a rainbow 😂

Gingersnappy · 22/11/2022 21:33

I like either Daisy and Olive or Daisy and Willow best from your list

Luredbyapomegranate · 22/11/2022 21:29

OhGingleBells · 22/11/2022 20:00

Beatrix is lovely! Bee stuff will be lovely and goes very nicely with Daisy! Alternatively Beatrice.

Robyn?

Belle? (Or any name ending belle/Bella) and go for bell shaped things?

Oh yes Beatrice nn Bea is a good one

Luredbyapomegranate · 22/11/2022 21:28

Maybe Dora and then you have lots of Dora the explorer?!

And Daisy and Dora is sweet.

Or Daisy and Robin

I think two flower names is pushing it.

If you like names like Summer and Sky (I don’t) then they would give you lots of trinkety bits

MerryChristmasToYou · 22/11/2022 20:30

Not Darcie/Darcy/Darcey - the names are plummeting in popularity
Too similar to Daisy anyway
