Baby girl due mid January and we are still really struggling with names. I am white british and DH is Pakistani (Muslim) so we need a name to suit us both. We chose Harris for our DS.
The two names we like so far is Jasmine and Talia. Any other suggestions?
Thank you!

Talia is my favourite...without the h'. I taught a beautiful, smart, funny little girl called Talia about 15 years ago...never taught another. I have taught over 20 Jasmines in my career. It's a lovely name, but very popular.

Love Jasmine.

Talia is nice, though.

DramaAlpaca · 22/11/2022 01:29

Strong preference for Jasmine, it's just lovely.

Smallonesaremorejuicy · 22/11/2022 01:28

Love both but Jasmine is the prettiest.

I also feel it should be spelled Thalia not Talia but it is a nice name.

Gingersnappy · 21/11/2022 20:40

Talia. I am biased as I have one. It's a beautiful name and she gets compliments on it all the time

Jasmine is sweet. Zara(h) is a great name I think that works for a little girl with British and Pakistani roots.

Jasmine
Talia has been misspelt upthread. Also geni-

I know it shouldn't go off who you know but I teach a Thalia who is genuinely one of the loveliest, kindest students I've taught in 15 years. She's also intelligent and articulate. I think it's a lovely name!

Beautiful names! Sight preference for Jasmine here.

rainbowstardrops · 21/11/2022 12:04

I prefer Jasmine but Talia is nice as well.

DotDotDotDotDot · 21/11/2022 11:56

I prefer Jasmine, a lovely name.
I’ve recently heard of the name Adara which I think is beautiful. Apparently it’s Arabic, Hebrew & Greek in origin so might work for you. Good luck.

Sandysandwich · 21/11/2022 11:48

I love Talia, spelled that way- with an H makes me want to pronounce it like Thea, Talia is phonetic and translatable.

fairgame84 · 21/11/2022 11:48

I'm biased as my DD is jasmine, DH is also Muslim and it works in both languages. It's a lovely name.

We had Sophia, Laila and Nabeela on our shortlist.

FrontDoor · 21/11/2022 11:45

They’re both lovely names.
