Thoughts on these names - help!

Hello! What are your thoughts on the names below? DD is due very soon and still no name!

Mila
Cara
Ella
Ivy
Elin
Seren
Leonie

I like them but agree with earlier poster avoid Ella/Elin/Mila as they blur in with lots of very popular similar sounding names. The others are great - I don’t think Zoe is dated at all it’s refreshing after the tedium of the top 10 names.

Have you considered Sidonie? That was on my list, but we didn't use it in the end.

Cara - nice
Ella - overused and nothingy
Ivy - dislike it
Elin - like it but people will say Ellin. Lots of El names around
Seren - awful
Leonie - don't like it
Zoë - nice

At you wedded to the idea of picking before the baby is born? I think they’re all lovely and can see what you’re finding it difficult. Some babies really do just ‘look’ like their name - dd was one and I often get comments on how much it really suits her.

Like them all apart from Seren and Leonie.

In order I prefer Zoe, Mila, Cara and Ella, Elin then Ivy.

Thanks so much for all your responses and suggestions! Love Cora and Erin but sadly DH is not so keen ☹️

Great to hear all the positive responses to Seren! I think I’m leaning towards Seren, Cara or Zoë but DH prefers ‘El’ names so Ella and Elin (pronounced the Welsh way). It’s so tricky and struggling to agree on one!

I think Zoe is rather dated now after a period of being very popular.
Cara is lovely as is Seren.
Leonie might be due a comeback. Certainly I haven’t come cross any under about 60.

I really like Seren. I’ve never actually seen or heard this name before? So think that’s made me gravitate towards it. Do you have a favourite? I’d say Ella and Ivy are pretty popular right now.
We really struggled picking DD’s name. It’s a good list you’ve got!

I like Cara best.
Prefer Serena to Seren.
Prefer Erin to Elin.
Zoe is ok.
Find the others bland tbh, especially Ella.
