Charlotte (as long as it's NEVER shortened to Charlie or worse Charli as my cousin spells it!) Lottie as a nn is much prettier. I like Charlotta too.
Holly is also quite pretty especially for a Winter born baby imo.
Not keen on Sophie or Georgie. Like Georgina though.

Surely it’s up to your cousin? I’m a Charlotte and spell my nn ‘Charley’, my DF hates Lottie (as do I) so I don’t use it 🤷‍♀️

coniston19 · 06/11/2022 13:35

They are all nice names - personally wouldn't choose Georgie but that's just me. Yes they are popular but if you like them, choose one!

MrsWarboysHandGrenade · 06/11/2022 13:28

I really love them all apart from Charlotte - in order of preference it would be Georgie, Sophie, Holly, Charlotte

bewarethetides · 06/11/2022 13:26

Holly is too 'Christmas-y' for me, tbh.
Prefer Sophia to Sophie.
I've never understood 'Georgie' since it's derived from George, which is a rather dull boy's name.
Charlotte is nice, but there are loads of them.

They're all common but bland girls' names. Imagine you can't really go 'wrong' with any of them...

DramaAlpaca · 06/11/2022 13:25

Sophie is my favourite, followed by Charlotte.

Holly is bland and I don't like Georgie at all.

WellWhoWouldHaveThought · 06/11/2022 13:19

Holly.

I know so so many Charlottes, Sophie is a bit dull and hugely popular and Georgie is a nickname. Prefer Georgia.

emmathedilemma · 06/11/2022 13:18

Charlotte is my favourite.
holly is ok
sophie is nice but really popular
i don’t like Georgie at all, Georgia is just about ok but Georgie is too cutesy nicknamey

KirstenBlest · 06/11/2022 13:12

Georgie - yes if short for Georgina or Georgia. Not keen on Georgiana
Charlotte - yes, but don't like Charlie for a girl
Holly - ok, but Polly and Molly are nicer. Not keen on nature names
Sophie - much prefer it to Sophia. Would be happy to use it

Mumsnet seem to love Holly but I honestly find it so bland and boring and I’ve known a few bratty adults called Holly let alone children so maybe that’s why I don’t like it at all.

Sophie is timeless as is Charlotte but I’m sure you’ll get people on here saying how Charlotte contains the word Harlot 🤷🏼‍♀️ I also like Sophia but I feel it’s very popular at the moment so Sophie would make a nice change.

Georgie is a nickname. If you like it go for something like Georgia, Georgina or Georgiana.

Fivebeanchilli · 06/11/2022 11:53

Charlotte is my favourite.
Sophie and Georgie are equal for me. I know too many Sophies to really love it and I prefer Georgiana to Georgie.
I don't like Holly which I find very dull.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 06/11/2022 11:47

Sophie
Holly
Georgie - but only as an abbreviation for Georgia, Georgina etc
Charlotte

SkylightSkylight · 06/11/2022 11:31

I like Georgie (BC Georgia)
I like Charlie/Lottie (BC Charlotte)

i prefer Sophia to Sophie, but Sophie us ok too, but I'd end up calling them 'sofe' and I'm not keen.

Don't like Holly.

pilates · 06/11/2022 11:30

They’re all ok but if I had to choose it would be Charlotte

Cheeseandlove · 06/11/2022 11:28

Holly and Sophie. Charlottes alright. Not a fan of Georgie at all.

KylieCharlene · 06/11/2022 11:25

Holly is my favourite, closely followed by Sophie- both timeless, suit all ages. Pretty yet feisty.
Charlotte is a bit meh.
Georgie- just a 'No' from me.

Billslills · 06/11/2022 11:21

Sophie is my favourite
