Matilda, Adaline or Sabrina?

Any thoughts on these names?

Also opinions on best spelling for Adaline/Adeline/Adeleine? I like the look of the A spelling written down but generally prefer traditional spellings and don’t want it to potentially look made up.

Surname is two syllables starts with an R.

Middle name suggestions also welcome!

Adeline would be my preference on spelling. I know two baby Adeline’s and one baby Matilda. I think both as popular as each other right now. I really like them both. Im not a fan of Sabrina (even with the teenage witch connection aside).

Matilda

Adeline is stunning.

I agree. It's just lovely. Addy is cute as a NN.

They are a bit much.

I am so surprised to read this comment. They don’t seem a bit much to me at all? If anything all very normal, familiar, pretty and usable names.

Spookypig · 06/11/2022 01:10

LOVE Adeline, spelled like this. Any other (incorrect) spelling spoils it.

Matilda would be nice but just so overdone.

Sabrina is okay. Nothing wrong with it, just doesn’t have a particularly nice sound to my ear.

How about Saskia?

MajorCarolDanvers · 06/11/2022 00:23

They are a bit much.

JamSandle · 06/11/2022 00:16

Adaline and Sabrina are both gorgeous.

Luredbyapomegranate · 06/11/2022 00:03

Sabrina. Great name

Matilda has been overdone and needs resting

Adaline - it’s very of the moment, nicer than Ada, not as nice as Adelaide. I prefer Adela to any of them.

scarediecat · 05/11/2022 22:58

Adeline.... I'd always hoped for an Adeline Isabella ☹️

Vinylloving · 05/11/2022 22:57

Adeline

sopeas · 05/11/2022 22:53

I think Sabrina is fantastic. The association with the programme makes it even better, it was a brilliant show 🧙‍♀️

bananaorange00 · 05/11/2022 22:53

Adeline is so pretty!

lottiegarbanzo · 05/11/2022 22:47

Adeline

DramaAlpaca · 05/11/2022 22:26

I like them all, but Matilda is my favourite.

TrippyLily · 05/11/2022 22:26

Adaline makes me think of adderol. Sounds like a medication.

purpleme12 · 05/11/2022 22:21

I love Sabrina.
The connotation with the programme makes me love it more.
But I guess i can see the reluctance with it. But it's a lovely name and I'd pick that one

Ihavehadenoughalready · 05/11/2022 22:18

Sabrina

Thisisnotmyname2 · 05/11/2022 21:05

Adeline nickname della or addie. Love it!
Matilda is ok, Sabrina is a teenage witch.

Adeline is pronounced slightly differently to adaline in my head.

Oojamaflipp · 05/11/2022 18:10

I like Adeline (spelled like that), but how do you pronounce it? I know a few in other countries who pronounce it Ade-leen, rather than line (as in washing line). I like the -leen pronunciation, but you might get people not knowing how to pronounce it.

Not at all keen on Matilda.

Sabrina's pretty (although I do always think 'the teenage witch')

Foxtrot101 · 05/11/2022 18:05

I like Adeline best, and I think it fits a child, teen and adult better than the others.
I like Sabrina the least.

DuchessOfSausage · 05/11/2022 18:03

Sabrina. Matilda is ok a but a bit overused , but Adaline/Adeline is awful.

SemperIdem · 05/11/2022 17:59

Adeline (this spelling) is lovely.

NCFT0922 · 05/11/2022 17:57

Matilda!

RambamThankyouMam · 05/11/2022 17:57

Matilda is lovely.

Adaline sounds like a medication for ADHD.

Sabrina is a stripper.

LulooLemon · 05/11/2022 17:51
