Arlo is okay.

River is not for me. I heard someone shouting “fox” repeatedly in a playgroup recently. Turned out that was the child’s name. River is in the same genre for me.

Neither....they are both 'trying too hard' names...and fairly chavvy where I live in NW

River but only because I know a few people that have named their dogs Arlo. Seems to be a popular pet name now
