Baby boy names to go with Arthur

Hi, I need some inspiration on baby boy names to go with Arthur who we have already.
we currently have thought about: Harry, Theo Edward/Eddie, Alfie, Albie. Would another name beginning with “A” be a bit strange tho?? We’d like less common names where it’s possible maybe. Thank you

Oscar
Joshua
Ezra
Charles
Tobias

Avoid another A name. It will be confusing both having the same initial.

James, Henry, Edward, William, George etc... all go with Arthur. Any name of previous kings of England would probably work!

I'm not sure theo alfie and albie go, they're nice names just in a different category than Arthur in my opinion. Albert works though, with albie as a nickname.

I have an Arthur and an Edward. My other boy choices are Leonard and Francis.

I like Theo but it's very popular. I also like and discount Alfie and Albert for the same reason. We don't really know any other Edward's although it's obviously a name everyone has heard of. Edmund is a great name too I think and goes well.

I know if an
Arthur and Felix and an Arthur and Isaac

Doidontimmm · 06/11/2022 08:51

Why do they have to go? I’ve always found that strange. They are individuals!

Jamimas · 06/11/2022 08:49

Arthur and Frederick

metellaestinatrio · 03/11/2022 16:31

The Arthurs I know have brothers called Max and Charlie, but they are both quite popular, as is Henry which I also like. How about Sebastian?

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 03/11/2022 16:24

I have an Arthur and an Oscar. Everyone loved it when we announced oscar as his name :)

PritiPatelsMaker · 03/11/2022 16:22

Arthur & Ralph go lovely together and remind me if my DF and his closet friend Wink

whatwhhat · 03/11/2022 13:42

I think Arthur and Alfie go really well together!

Does it matter if they share initials, or wouldn't bother me.

All of the names you have mentioned are in the top 30 so not sure if wanting something less common conflicts with your taste in names?
Less common options:

Arthur and
Robert
Eric
Patrick
Seth
Ralph

37andfree · 02/11/2022 19:23

Oh Francis gets my vote

FawnDrench · 02/11/2022 19:06

Gregory
Malcolm
Robert
Cyril
Sylvester
John

Luredbyapomegranate · 02/11/2022 15:06

I'd avoid another A if possible - and if you want a slightly more unusual name I'd avoid all the ones you list - they are all very overused

Patrick
Ernest
Laurence
Robert
Tobias nn Toby or just Toby
Rufus
Marcus
Guy

Might be possibles

Theoldwoman · 02/11/2022 14:32

I personally wouldn’t pick another A name - too mitchy matchy.

Arthur and:

Rupert
Wyndham
Wallace
Cedric
Frederick
Francis

Dassams · 02/11/2022 14:10

Starting to like Henry as well

You said you'd like less common names, in which case I'd avoid Henry.

sopeas · 02/11/2022 13:02

Frederick or Wilfred

Geranium1984 · 02/11/2022 13:01

Alexander, Oscar or Oliver.
Some of the other suggestions might be a bit too many royal/king names in one family.
