My DD would be Yamini or Emma
DS Harry and if he was a girl then Alice

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Britannia- Doctor who performed emergency C-section, and Sergio- neonatal doctor who sorted their intensive care.

They were born while we lived overseas and the system is very different to UK, no midwife or health visitors.

GinIronic · 03/11/2022 12:38

I’m not sure anyone introduced themselves during my labours.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 03/11/2022 12:34

Funnily enough the Midwife who delivered dc1 was called Bernadette Grin

TheBirdintheCave · 03/11/2022 12:33

DS would have been Pippa if I named him after my midwife, lol.

justasoul · 02/11/2022 01:18

(I actually still like Barbara but I understand why husband said no)

justasoul · 02/11/2022 01:11

I did want to name my child after my GP at the time - she was an excellent dr - but it was a firm nope from DH. Her name was Barbara. Grin

RedRec · 02/11/2022 01:09

The midwife who delivered my son 21+ years ago was so lovely I bought her some flowers.
Her name was Bernadette (Bernie).
The one who delivered my daughter was absolutely horrible.

Ruth and Maureen. Thankfully mine are two girls so the names aren't entirely out of the question, but they're not ideal!

AlwaysLatte · 02/11/2022 01:05

Lucy or Stephanie

HolidayHappy123 · 02/11/2022 01:03

Terry. He wore orange Crocs which would be a crime in any other circumstances.

InTheFutilityRoomEatingBiscuits · 02/11/2022 00:50

I’ve never spoken to a midwife or doctor about childbearing for long enough to remember their names!

Dustyblue · 02/11/2022 00:47

I'd have a son called Natalie

Dt would have been Anna and my name for midwife and Dr was john.
Ds were all femle including several Dr's. Main midwife was Louise.

Oh my goodness, for both DC I had Dr. John, and for DC2 midwife was Louise! (who I think may have had either early onset dementia or was on sleeping tablets in the middle of the night shift)

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 02/11/2022 00:41

The only name I remember from ds's arrival was Priti (doctor), she was lovely.

Dd was delivered by a Dr called Gail and a midwife called Sharon. Both were amazing but we didn't name her after either of them.

FootballisLife · 02/11/2022 00:36

Harriet.

My friend has a daughter called Kara and she was named after the midwife who delivered her. My friend just liked the name when she heard it

VickerishAllsort · 31/10/2022 22:11

Marie

TheSausageKingofChicago · 31/10/2022 19:29

Mary and Heather. I had two boys 🤣

PeekabooAtTheZoo · 31/10/2022 19:28

Catherine for DD.
Concepta for DS.
Maybe they’ll use them as confirmation names, you never know.

lljkk · 31/10/2022 19:26

Yvonne is only one I remember.

NCFT0922 · 31/10/2022 13:06

Leanne or Nicola

Mommabear20 · 31/10/2022 13:04

DD would have been Victoria and DS would have been Jill 😂

DuneFan · 31/10/2022 13:04

Michelle, Carol, Christine, Hillary - all names reflective of their generations! And Kirsten which is lovely but sounds v silly with our surname.

Spookypig · 31/10/2022 13:00

Leo. I did consider it for a while but thought that although he was very nice he was just doing his job and would have been a bit OTT to name baby after him!

CastleTower · 31/10/2022 12:43

I saw a bazillion midwives and doctors (was in hospital for quite a while). The only two names I remember are Sam (female) and Maryam, even though there were some other lovely staff too whose faces I remember very clearly.

LadyWithLapdog · 31/10/2022 09:24

By coincidence we named DD same as my midwife. She was so genuinely pleased that I didn’t have the heart to say we’d already chosen it (and the spellings differed).
