Why do names need to go together?

They don’t need to but I don’t see anything wrong if people prefer it. Also I think when most people say they want names that go together it’s not matchy matchy they’re interested in. It might also be that they’re worried the children might not like standing out as different. If you have a Elizabeth and Catherine already there’s nothing wrong with your third daughter being called Juno but it stands out as different.

Why do names need to go together?

It's called sibsets and I think it's just something that people like. Why not choose two names for your children that you think sound nice together or that have something connecting them?
I don't think shoes have to match in order for them to serve their practical purpose but it's nicer if they do 😜
