I’m thinking keep it simple and short as that first name
is the star of the show. I like Cassius Jack. To be honest don’t think it even needs a middle name.

I absolutely adore the suggestion of Cassius Rex, has a great ring to it. I think a one syllable name works well.

I think you need something “classic” to go with Cassius - something like Alexander or Julian, not Rafe or Jude. Any family names that would work?

BonnieWeeJeannieMcColl · 27/10/2022 08:35

Cassius Jacob
Cassius Frederick

Somehow repeating the "k" sound sounds right to me. Perhaps I'm subconsciously thinking of Clay.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 26/10/2022 11:57

I’ve got a Cassius, he doesn’t have a middle name. He’s 13 and never questioned it.

KirstenBlest · 26/10/2022 11:54

@TottersBlankly , Clay is pretty grounding.

I agree on the ancestor or family surname as middle name, much better than a filler middle name. Having said that, I know people who hate having their mother's maiden name as a middle name, and some who really love their terribly old fashioned middle name (think Gladys or something) cos it was their grandmother's name.

ElizabethinherGermanGarden · 26/10/2022 10:34

Needs to be either shorter or longer, not the same syllable pattern - disagree with PP that Cassius Julius sounds great! To me that sounds like the start of a children's poem similar to Jeremiah Obadiah etc.

Probably don't want to continue the Roman theme either or will sound like a collection of conspirators.

TottersBlankly · 26/10/2022 09:57

Name or surname of an ancestor is the best place to start. Children deserve a link to the past - a grounding in their heritage. It’s something solid to carry them into the future.

Margo34 · 26/10/2022 09:46

Jack or James
