Just wondering what you thought of these. We don't know the sex yet and there's still a long time to go but I'm constantly intrigued by names I encounter.

I'm not considering these as of yet, they are a bit trendy for my taste. My husband loves Greyson, though.

I personally don't think I could agree to Greyson (I'm mostly into old fashioned names and some nature names) but I guess I could get into Grey as a middle name only.

What do you think of Grey, Gray and Greyson, Grayson and which spellings would you pick?

Is it too depressing? I find the colour quite beautiful but I guess it depends.

I really like Gray and Grayson!

Spanielsarepainless · 13/10/2022 13:41

I don't like any of them. How about Gregory?

Needmorelego · 13/10/2022 13:22

It's such a depressing colour. Why would you want to name a child that. Will his siblings be 'Bleak' and 'Gloom' 😂

Dinoteeth · 13/10/2022 13:19

Grayson or Greyson.

Gray is such are boring dull colour - it's a grey day. I don't even think people will recognise it as a name and miss hear it as Gary Or Ray.

Gary or Ray / Raymond might be better options for you.

Gray is ok, the only one I know is short for Graham.

Don't like Grayoson/Greyson/Grey tbh

Sandysandwich · 13/10/2022 13:08

Of all of them I would use Gray, the spelling makes it slightly further from the colour in the uk

Whichever way I say Greyson it sounds like 'Grease on' in my accent, but I know thats not the same for everyone.

MrsMinted · 13/10/2022 13:08

Grayson or Graham or Graeme are better

Grey is just a sad sort of a name. Like calling a child Bleak or Solo.

MurderAtTheBeautyPageant · 13/10/2022 13:05

The spelling of Greyson looks a bit off to me.

Grayson definitely seems to be on the up. Reminded me of this tweet I saw from Grayson Perry a couple of weeks ago.

Graham always gets reduced to Gray . Is that name a possibility?

StillNotWarm · 13/10/2022 12:56

Not my taste, but Grayson would be my preference.

I like Gray but as a diminutive for Graham. Is it time for those strong surname/clan names to come back in fashion - Malcolm, Douglas, Stewart..

chineapplepunks · 13/10/2022 12:47

I really like all the names but for spelling I'd for for the 'a' versions!
