Hi all! We're expecting a little girl soon and really struggling to choose between the names India and Cleo. Any thoughts welcome! Thank you xx

Like both. Prefer Cleo. Have you considered Caro?

ThreeRingCircus · 18/10/2022 14:36

Cleo definitely. It's nicer anyway but India does feel a bit "colonial".

chaotical · 14/10/2022 15:13

I like Cleo.

India will always be associated with the country. Are you comfortable with that?

Billylilly · 12/10/2022 12:51

I love Cleo.

mc260 · 12/10/2022 12:38

I love the name Cleo, but my generation and younger generation all watched h2o just add water. And there's quoting all over tik tok of the name Cleo the condensation. I still really like the name though

eveoha · 12/10/2022 12:17

Love Cleo - short for Cleophas - but am biased as it’s our new granddaughter’s name 👍🏿☘️

Puddlepup · 12/10/2022 12:04

Cleo feels very of the moment whereas India is a little more classic to me. Both sweet names though. Congratulations!

mincepi · 12/10/2022 11:46

Cleo. Katie Hopkins has an India doesn't she and I'd hate to be considered to have the same taste as her Smile

Clio, from Greek mythology

That's the version I would prefer as well.

KirstenBlest · 12/10/2022 10:00

Cleo. India is too closely linked to 'The Empire'.

Lilacsunflowers · 12/10/2022 08:28

Cleopatra nickname Cleo

GlassDeli · 12/10/2022 07:57

Cleo

Dollydea · 12/10/2022 06:11

Love India and also Indie

Cleo just makes me think of a car.

Ravensclawdropout · 12/10/2022 06:02

Cleo is definitely going to be the new Chloe. Its a lovely name but is gearing up to explode and be massively popular.

MrsTuxedo · 12/10/2022 05:59

Cleo

ChillysWaterBottle · 12/10/2022 00:39

Both lovely but prefer Cleo x

DramaAlpaca · 12/10/2022 00:13

Cleo/Clio, both fab.

I don't like India much, sorry.

villamariavintrapp · 11/10/2022 21:57

Cleo. Are you white British? If so, India isn't a big.. colonial..

'colonial' was my first thought too. I'd go with Cleo.

MarshaMelrose · 11/10/2022 22:59

Oops: its spelling.

MarshaMelrose · 11/10/2022 22:59

Cleo is a car to me, no matter what it's spelling.

Folicky · 11/10/2022 22:58

Clio, from Greek mythology
