So we have a few DC already.... baby due VERY soon!!
All begin with a H (didn't actually plan this) but can't break the cycle now!

I had a name for a boy that I absolutely loved but we've ended up having another little girl and for the life of me I'm struggling to find a H name that I love??

Any H names would be appreciated everyone because currently she's just been called baby H!!! Xx

Hjördis - you'll need a Swedish speaker to give you the right pronunciation but I hear/say it as Zhahrdiss

BirdsBirdsBird · 22/09/2022 13:33

I know a Haidee, think it is of Greek origin but used by an English family.

Halia is my favourite on the list so far but agree Harlow seems more of a girls name to me than a boys name. I'm sure Nicole Richie has a daughter called Harlow and that's where her fashion brand name came from (House of Harlow)

I like Hester.

I never heard of Hebe before this thread but I like that too.

I am Hannah and nobody has ever shortened it, though people do occasionally (randomly) call me Helen, when replying to emails that have my name written on the bottom.

A recent acquaintance who doesn't understand my accent started calling me Hana recently (with an ah sound like car) and I actually kind of like it.

I named my daughter Halima. Growing up, I loved Harriet, nn Hattie

Why would you name a child Harlow? It’s a shithole town in Essex.

PaganOfTheGoodTimes · 20/09/2022 21:39

Please not Hannah, it's my name and I hate it! How about Hephzibah, its my absolute favourite name.

Cindie943811A · 20/09/2022 21:34

There is an actress by the name of Holliday Grainger — she plays the side kick to the detective in Strike, a series written by JK Rowling. So it’s a usable name.

If there are no H names you like then I seriously wouldn't restrict yourself to having to use that letter. It's a bit Kardashian all having the same letter anyway.
