Please tell my sister this is a horrible idea

So, my sister told us last night her names ideas, and she was asking which we prefer. They decided that her husband and her would mix their names to create a new name.

So if it is a girl

Jamifer or Jeniams

A boy :

Jems
Jamer

We all told us it was horrible. But she insist on saying "stranger will find that cute". What do you think

Actually I think that only people with massive egos name their child after themselves.
From a practical point of view, once the child is older it will be really annoying to 2 Mr or Ms J Smiths., and will affect the privacy of the 2 with the same initial. I know because DH and DS1 have the same first initial, and not everyone will send letters using the requested middle initial to help differentiate. So if we get an NHS letter, for example, it's not immediately clear who it's for.

My ex’s niece and her husband did this but in their case they ended up with Demi. Which is fine. Jamifer is not.

@WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll this may be the first time we have ever disagreed. Both of those songs are brilliant! I had no idea bananafana was an actual song, I just thought it’s what all families did with a weird word! And the clapping song was my skipping song as a kid!

I would suggest if she is really set on the idea to use one as a middle name and use a more mainstream name to actually call the baby by.

I can't repeat the name as it would be far too outing but suffice to say they are an intolerable couple who think they are magnificent and the name is bloody daft.

Shame as the dc seems perfectly fine.

Does anybody else remember that intensely irritating song by Shirley Ellis - 'The Name Game' - where she kept playing around by swapping consonants (and bizarrely randomly banging on about bananas), in order to come up with a variant on a name?

Couldn't do any worse than this with that method.
