HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 27/11/2022 11:01

If your a Jane Austin fan how about Marianne

fairycupcakes · 27/11/2022 10:58

your not you’re 🥴🥴

fairycupcakes · 27/11/2022 10:57

Marisa is lovely from you’re first list.
You might also like Marcella?

Of your second list I love Genevieve. Anastasia is also pretty when pronounced an a sta see a as opposed to ana stay zuh - though both are valid!

I like Constance but always wary of the pressure or a virtue name. Connie is really sweet though and I do think it is a stand alone name too.

VenusClapTrap · 27/11/2022 09:56

I really like Marianne without the frilly ‘a’ on the end.

How about Marisol? It means sea and sun; what’s not to love with that?!

Djorkaeff · 27/11/2022 00:28

Marisa is nice!

I also knew a Mariesha - remember thinking it was very cool when we are school! It was pronounced Mar-ee-sha

Other suggestions:

Marley
Marcy

What's your boy's name? It may help us get your style.

Juliet?
Tamsin?
Amalia?

Thewolvesarerunningagain · 12/09/2022 21:58

How about Milena, Mariska, Marjorie, Meredith, Mara, or Morven?

MidtoLon · 12/09/2022 21:48

Marianne nickname Marnie

RitzyTitzy · 12/09/2022 21:43

I would go with just Mari. It's a common name in Ireland (normally spelled Marie but pronounced differently). I've got several cousins with the name. I love it. When I was expecting dds other Mar names on my list were Mara and Maren.

Snowiscold · 12/09/2022 21:28

Marianne or Marina are lovely. Anne-Marie is a classic too. Or Rosemary.

PoppyBird · 12/09/2022 21:24

Maristela? Or Marsali (not a Mari though)

noclothesinbed · 12/09/2022 21:24

CaffiSaliMali · 12/09/2022 10:14

Mari is a lovely name, Welsh for Mary and pronounced marry. I had a lovely great great Aunty Mari.

Marisa and Marissa are nice too as are Marianne and Marina.

Lunabun · 12/09/2022 08:55

I quite like Mari on its own to be honest.

I know a Welsh Mari pronounced "marry" and I also once worked another Mari who pronounced it so the first syllable rhymes with car, but I'm not sure where she was from.

I also think Marina and Marissa are lovely names x

Mummytobe333 · 12/09/2022 08:44

Alyssa is my favourite out of those - lovely name 💗 not keen on the others sorry

Krakinou · 12/09/2022 07:30

MagsR2356 · 12/09/2022 06:47

Just Mari is lovely or Marianna if you want a longer name. Mariella reminds me of Mariella Frostrup. I prefer all your Mari names to the second list.

Happenchance · 11/09/2022 21:56

I second Marietta.
