Sibling for Theodore

DS is Theodore nn Teddy. We chose Theodore because it has nickname options as he grows up.

New DP, 13 weeks pregnant. Finding out if baby's a boy or a girl in about 3 weeks time. We have names we like but they are kind of lacking with nickname options.

Boys names we like

Benjamin (can't use as it's a name in DPs family but love it)
Henry
Zachary
Daniel
Robert

Girls names we like

Rosalie
Beatrice
Freya
Alice

Reading my own comments, we did pick up on Isabelle but for some reason I didn't add it to my list so completely forgot about it 🤦‍♀️ baby brain in action!

We've been back through all the suggestions again and we both really like Isabelle. Not sure how we missed it the first time.

We both think Theodore and Isabelle sound really nice together. Thoughts?

I'm not going to add names to our list that I like and he doesn't because they'll just be vetoed later on anyway. 🤷‍♀️

@wackamole big assumption there. We've spend a while talking through names and those are the ones we agreed on early on. He likes the same sort of names that I do so ones with nicknames fall into that vein. Was simply asking for names that we may not have come up with yet.

What names does your partner suggest, or does he just want to stick with the list that you posted when you started the thread and you're not thrilled with those? It seems like you've been doing the heavy lifting here; what has he got to contribute? Does he agree with you about wanting a name with multiple short forms (nicknames)?

I came on just to say this!! Ruined!!!

On another note it's a lush name.

Sebastian would be my choice. Theodore is a name I considered and this would have been the siblings name.

Have shown those names to DP, still waiting to hear which ones he likes. I love Rupert but I know DP won't go for it 😭 Amelia, Christopher and Oliver are all family names so can't use those.

@Citylife because we're both of the impression that DC is an individual and deserves their own name, not a recycled family one
