For a girl? What do we think?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Chersfrozenface · 21/08/2022 14:31

Or, of course, Humphreya.

Chersfrozenface · 21/08/2022 14:31

IDK, I feel Humphrina is better.

MrsMitford3 · 21/08/2022 14:29

I love it.

It's an absolute classic and so musical to say.

My only worry is that I know several little Humphrella's at the moment so the risk is it becoming so popular.

Well I obviously love it as my triplets are Humphrey, Humpfrella and Humpernicious.

Good choice.

Ah see this is the issue OP - there is at least one alternative spelling of the name. Your LO would forever be asked "is that Humphrella with an F or a PH". It would be so annoying for them.

I think Grimes and Elon Musk took that name.

First I thought this was some kind of joke. Now...... Are you being serious?

midsomermurderess · 21/08/2022 14:23

It's almost comically bad, the clumping, inelegant humph with the dainty ella tacked on at the end. Like an elephant in a tutu. Oddly, I don't hate Humphrey for a boy. I blame Death in Paradise .

Epicstorm · 21/08/2022 14:22

I’d go for the Irish spelling.

AclowncalledAlice · 21/08/2022 14:22

bcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyza · 21/08/2022 14:14

How would you pronounce it?

Emily

Deadringer · 21/08/2022 14:21

Lovely, but only if your surname is Humperdinck.

Hungryharriet · 21/08/2022 14:21

Please don't.

LittleBearPad · 21/08/2022 14:15

The ‘Humphrell’ and ‘a’ are all silent so it’s pronounced Balonz

I would have thought that was obvious. 🙄

Love it. Nn Humphy.

Rebelmcstreettuff · 21/08/2022 14:13

Only if it's for an elephant........

Luredbyapomegranate · 21/08/2022 14:13

I prefer Humptiez. It’s much more modern and less stuffy.

Kindofcrunchy · 21/08/2022 14:12

SIL already took the name knowing we wanted it too Angry

AclowncalledAlice · 21/08/2022 14:11

Very common....there are 6 Humphrella's in our small village school.

Crappydoo · 21/08/2022 14:07

Ha! Excellent yes I thoroughly approve.....

chesterelly1 · 21/08/2022 14:07

Well based on my username I'm a fan but insist you use humphrelly as a pet name
