Rowan for a boy.

Row-an like a you've had a row (argument with someone) or ro-an like rowing a boat?

Row a boat. Like the tree. Or Rowan Williams and Rowan Atkinson if you look up clips with them. Never heard it pronounced row like how.

I kind of do both, am in Scotland. Have met both and have a Rowan tree in garden that gets called forth. Lovely name - the trees have a mystical history that I like too.
