Are Erin and Iris too similar???

Thinking of Iris as a potential name if baby #2 is a girl. We already have an Erin - do you think the names are too similar or do they sound ok together? It wasn't until I wrote the names out that I started questioning it (I think it's the look of the names, with them both being four letters and having 'ri' in the middle, rather than the sound..!)

They’d be perfect for twins. But I somehow feel they’re too same-y for sisters.

Isla?
Orla?
Viola?

I have an Erin too :) I think Iris goes lovely with Erin.

What about Nancy? We have an Erin and were going to use Nancy as a second DD (we had a DS).

Smilingwithfangs · 17/08/2022 22:23

i don’t think so and both lovely names

Brunonono · 17/08/2022 22:20

Not similar at all and love them both.

Not too similar.

I think they're lush names and sound amazing together!

I really like them together. They match (not that they need to) without sounding repetitive.

DaisyP24 · 17/08/2022 22:19

Not too similar and go well together

DramaAlpaca · 17/08/2022 22:18

I don't think they are too similar at all, in fact I really like them together. They don't look similar written down, and they sound very different.

Rose, Rosa, Daisy, Lily - ?

Yes, I think so - sound wise as well
