Sunnyflower2 · 11/08/2022 14:44

I have two ds’s, Winston “Winnie” is 6 years old and my other ds Baxter “buzz” is 3 years old.
I am currently 24 weeks pregnant with twins but don’t know their genders yet!
Me and dp have a short list of names we are considering but need some more ideas on what to call our two new additions

boys:
Wilson (too close to Winston though)
Shepherd
Fraser
Hank (but want a longer name that isn’t Henry)

girls:
Margot
Etta
Hattie

Any other ideas will be well appreciated!

For other names that fit the vibe, how about Rex and Ottilie?

@Rhaenys I’m really loving Ned right now!
also thinking of the longer names of Edward or Edison with the nickname Ned
ive always loved the name Theodore nickname Ted but I don’t know if that goes with my other DS’S names

The great thing about Ned is that there are so many option.

I think Theodore/Ted definitely fits the vibe too.

For the girls I think Etta and Margot are perfect.

Out of the boys names you mentioned I think Hank fits the vibe of your other kids’ names best but I can’t think of any longer names other than Henry. I personally don’t think Shepherd or Fraser fit with Winston and Baxter. To me Winston and Baxter are hip and artsy in vibes, a little bit rock and roll, whereas I think Shepherd and Fraser are more earthy.

Other boy names I think fit the vibe of Winston and Baxter:

Ernest (Ernie)
Gilbert (Gil or Gilly)
Herbie - although for some reason not Herbert
Hector - although I don’t love it with Baxter
Percy
Hayes
Sullivan (Sully or Van)
Vincent (Vinnie or Vince)
Marvin
Jesse
Kit
Cooper
Franklin (Frank)
Eugene (Gene)
Gus
Morris/Maurice
Ned
Rex
Tate
Truman
Wilfred (Wilf)
Walter
Zephyr
Rufus

A few other girls names that fit the vibe:

Maud
Agnes (Aggie or Nessi)
Ada
Beatrix (Beattie or Trixie)
Dusty
Ethel (Ettie)
Greta
Marigold (Goldie)
Hero
Kitty
Pepper
Ripley
Sadie
Xanthe

Hank is perilously close to Wank, OP.

For Andie would any of these work:

@Wbeezer I do love frazz as well I think we will most probably use Fraze as his nickname though!

DH has suddenly came across the name Kit (possibly Beckett as a longer name) to go with Fraser if we have two boys and I’m not set on the name but do like it

Kit is short for Christopher.

Congratulations!

I love Fraser, it was my brothers name and he got Fras for short. I have it to my DS as a middle name, his first name is Isaac (Ike or Zac for short).

Harriet (Hattie) was also one of our girl choices, we also considered Imogen (Immy).

I love your choices though, best of luck.

Dinoteeth · 12/08/2022 23:47

Lester, Wallace, Walter, Stanley, Patrick

Margaret, Dorothy, Brigit.

Wbeezer · 12/08/2022 23:41

I've discovered the name Erland recently.

Yespresh · 12/08/2022 18:03

Audrey, Margot and Evelyn (Ever not Eve)

Malachy for a boy not sure of spelling or is it Malachie?

Lulu1919 · 12/08/2022 17:59

Smith

Wbeezer · 12/08/2022 17:58

Beckett is quite close to Baxter.
I like Lester never heard of that.

MuffinMcLayLikeABundleOfHay · 12/08/2022 16:40

I knew you would be having twins as soon as I saw the thread title.

Luredbyapomegranate · 12/08/2022 16:39

If you like Kit then Kester (a Scottish form of Christopher, which is what Kit is usually short for) might be nice?

İ think Fizz is a bit girly for a boy, I associate it with Felicity.

Wbeezer · 12/08/2022 13:24

Fraser is quite common in Scottish Middle class circles, I know a few teen Frasers who seem to get called "Frazz" by their pals.

blameitonthecaffeine · 12/08/2022 13:17

I like Fraser and Etta. Also think Fizz as a nickname is very cute.
